Fethye

FETHIYE is a city in the Aegean region of Turkey with 45.000 inhabitants. It is one of Turkey's well-known tourist centres also for yachting. The climate in Fethiye is typically Mediterranean with long hot summers and mild winters therefore it is an ideal destination throughout the year.

Fethiye Museum, very rich in ancient and more recent artefacts, displays and testifies to the successive chain of civilisations which existed in this area. The city was formerly known as Makri (Μάκρη). Greeks were expelled from here under the terms of the 1923 exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey founded Nea Makri ’new Makri'.

The city is located 50 km far away to the Dalaman International Airport.
